Rhinedogs | A | Soundboard recording. Great bootleg with nice songs! Maybe the best live show available.Visit a section in Pieter Hartmans Tom Waits Supplement where he has collected some nice reviews of this bootleg.

audiophile | A | My copy comes from Wolf's Remaster series, The Tom Waits Remasters Vol. 3.
This is one of the most popular Tom Waits show, and has been released in many forms throughout the years, including the bootleg CDs "Cold Beer on a Hot Night", "Fast Women, Slow Horses", and others. The WOLF remastering is the best sounding version of it, though the others represent very nice sound as well. It was said to have been broadcast on the radio, which may have something to do with the confusion over the actualy date. Regardless, it's a fantastic show and worth the upgrade from the other CD versions. The performance is very good, though the vocals are a bit rough (moreso than usual!) on it, and might not be the best place to start for the uninitiated. It is however, one of my favorite of his shows, and highlights one of his performances right before his transition in the early 80's to more bizarre arrangements and oblique songwriting.

iceman | A | My favorite on this one is the version of Pasties and a G-string... It's like a whole different song than the one on Small Change.
