HELP: EDIT ITEM

song mode / track mode

To edit or insert an item, you can toggle between two modes, song mode and track mode. The song mode allows you to edit all the fields displayed on the form, while the track mode allows adding or deleting new tracks or CDs. Please understand that there is a maximum of 2 CDs per bootleg! You can change the mode by clicking on the appropriate buttons on top of the form.

date

Fill in the appropriate date using numbers. You are allowed to leave these empty. But there are some restrictions: If you fill in a day, you are also required to enter a month and a year. If you fill in a month, you can leave the day field empty, but you are requiredto enter a year. Or you can just fill in a year.

city and venue

Depending on your choice in the category field, you should fill thesefields according to these rules:
  • compilation / misc / tribute (everything that's not live): You should leave these fields blank.
  • radio show: Enter the city in the city field, and the radio station in the venue field.
  • live concert / play: You figure that out by yourself.

additional information

Anything to specify your bootleg. You may enter that it's an existing bootleg that has been edited ("reworked by XY"), if it is an early or a late show, or if there is anything missing.

song title

Please enter the song titles as detailed as possible. If a song title is not in our database, the program suggests a song name, if there is a similar one in our database. Sometimesit's very tricky ("16 Shells" or "Sixteen Shells", "Ninth And Hennepin" or "9th & Hennepin"), but we stick to the spelling on the official records. You won't be able to alter the song names later, so please be careful. But if there has been a mistake, we are of course able to rectify it. If you have tracks on your CD where Tom is interviewed, just enter "interview". If Tom tells a story, enter the stories name (or make one up), and enter "story" in the information field. See next.

information

Any additional information is welcome here. For example if a track is cut, or has a gap or is faded in and out. Also if it's important to distinguish
studio versions and live versions in radio shows. For cover versions, please enter the artist here, and the song title in the song title field.
